About KVK
The socio-economic and technological profile of agriculture in the area of responsibility of the KVK.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, (Chomu), Jaipur-I was established in 1993 with financial assistance of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The KVK is an innovative transfer of technology project is responsible for identifying and developing new technologies, according to local need and potential to increase the agriculture production and provide the basis for agro-based agriculture development, so as to increase per unit production under Crops, Livestock production, Dairy, Horticulture and allied Agriculture enterprises and ultimate to help the farmers in improving their living standard.

Mandates of the KVK
- Conducting “On-Farm- Testing” for identifying technologies in terms of location specific sustainable land use systems.
- Organize training to update the extension personnel with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis.
- Organise short and long-term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for the farmers and rural youths with emphasis on “Learning by doing” for higher production on farms and generating self-employment.
- Organize frontline demonstrations on various crops to generate production data andfeedback information.
